Experience the perfect mix of beauty and challenge with this 10km Trail Run /Walk Starting at Spa Park, you’ll run along the iconic Huka Falls Trail, enjoy stunning views of the falls, and wind through the Rotary Track. The course takes you past the Otumuheke Hot Water Stream, then finishes with a scenic riverside stretch capped off with a stairway climb to the top and speedy downhill to the finish line.

COURSE Description:
Ready for a 10km adventure like no other? Start your journey at Spa Park, where you’ll set off on the stunning Huka Falls Trail. Take in the jaw-dropping views of the mighty falls before looping onto the Rotary Track, all while soaking up the beauty of the surrounding landscape. You’ll then head back to the bottom of the Otumuheke Hot Water Stream, a perfect spot to catch your breath. But the fun isn’t over yet! The final stretch takes you along a serene riverside trail, and just when you think you’re almost there, test your grit with a stairway climb followed by a speedy descent to the finish.. Whether you’re running or walking, this course is packed with beauty, challenges, and rewarding moments at every turn!
Aid Stations:
All aid stations are proudly sponsored by PURE and offer water and PURE electrolyte to help keep you hydrated and energised. Self-service stations are located at 3 km and 7.8 km along the course.
This is a cup-free event, so please bring a reusable bottle or hydration system to refill as needed.
While aid stations are available to support you, it’s important to carry enough food and fluids to stay fueled and hydrated throughout the race.

Race Briefing:
It is compulsory for you to attend your race briefing that will be held 15min prior to race start. It will include up-to-date courses and weather conditions. The briefing will be based on you having read all the information sent to you pertaining to your event.
Athlete Check-in:
Event registration for all categories will be held on Friday, 11th December, at IPPNZ Showroom 2/258 Spa Road, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Participants for the 10KM Trail may also be collected race day from 5:00am from athlete information down at Spa Park.
Late registration entries will also be available on the day of the event at Spa Park from 5:00 am, with a $30 late fee (payable by cash or bank transfer), unless the event is already SOLD OUT.
Timing Results:
Timing results will be provided by age group category. (age on race day) group categories are as follows for men and women; 18 & under, 18-20, 20 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70+
Walkers:
Walkers are welcome to enter the 10km. The walking category is for participants who intend to walk the entire course and compete against other ‘walkers’. If you intend to run even one step on the course please register as a ‘runner’. Please ensure walkers start at the back behind the runners and keep to the left at all times.
Prizes:
All 10 km finishers will receive a Finisher Medal.
Prizegiving:
Top 3 male and female in each distance will be awarded at prizegiving. No age group placings will be acknowledged or awarded, however they will show in the results.
